| Once kids become interested in pretend play, they are eager to help you out with those everyday household chores. Use this interest to teach them about responsibilities and a little basic math and science. Baking is a great way to introduce these skills and teach kids about healthier eating choices including how yummy fruits and vegetables are. When my son Liam started Kindergarten at the age of 3 we started baking his special lunchtime treats together, although he'd been helping me mix things and put chopped veggies into bowls long before that. His favourites from the list below are the quick breads which can also be baked into mini muffins.
